Wethenew
Wethenew, an e-commerce platform specializing in authentic sneakers, has revolutionized the online sneaker marketplace. With a focus on user experience and innovation, Wethenew has partnered with me to implement transformative projects, including the Seller Space – a dedicated hub for sellers to list and consign their products. Listing allows the seller to retain the pair in their inventory, while consignment feeds into Wethenew's storage spaces.
For three months, I worked closely with Wethenew's teams in implementing various services for sellers.
The express payout
The first one: express payment. It allows the seller to be paid within 48 hours when their pair is sold. Otherwise, the seller is paid within a week. Not only important for sellers with cash flow needs, this feature also enables Wethenew to generate more revenue by offering this additional service to sellers for a 3% commission on the sale amount.
We identified the different touchpoints throughout the sales process to highlight this new feature to sellers.
Implementing fixed fees
Additionally, as part as Wethenew's tech and design teams, we added fixed fees within the platform. This addition of fees, generally unpopular with consumers, was worked on in such a way as to provide a visible benefit for sellers and to be as transparent as possible to them. These additional fees allow for better support from Wethenew's purchasing teams to sellers.
Outcome
Overall, I worked hand in hand with the teams for 3 months to bring more value to sellers on Wethenew by developing numerous features, both on the Seller Space or on the eCommerce website
